Slovenská zpěvačka Zdenka žije v Praze od roku 2002. Po ukončení studia klasického zpěvu na Cirkevní konzervatoři v Bratislavě, pokračovala ve studiu na Konzervatoři Jaroslava Ježka v Praze v oboru muzikál a v témže roce začala působit na pražských muzikálových divadlech. Zásadní pro její další kariéru se stala hlavní role Edith Piaf v představení “Edith Piaf – vrabčák z předměstí”. Stala se nadšenou frankofilkou a do svého repertoáru zařadila nejen šansony Edith Piaf, ale i mnoho dalších známých francouzských písní. V roce 2010 potkala akordeonistu Michala Mihoka a společně založili kapelu VOILA!. Repertoár složený z netradičně pojatých známých francouzských hitů následně začali doplňovat o vlastní autorské písně. Ještě před vydáním debutového alba získali VOILA! cenu Český tučňák, udílenou mladým nadějným umělcům. Debutovým albem Décollage (2014) pak naděje do nich vkládané potvrdili. Úspěch u širšího publika zaznamenala především skladba Flip flops, která se probojovala na přední místa hitparády Radia 1 i slovenského Rádia FM.
Tradičnímu francouzskému chansonu se Zdenka nadále věnuje v sólovém koncertním programu “”La Belle Vie”; chystá se i natáčení stejnojmenného alba, na kterém Zdenka zazpívá francouzský chanson ve spojení s gipsy swingem. Za doprovodu výborných muzikantů, akordeonisty Michala Mihoka a kytaristy Tibora Židy představuje známé francouzské melodie takřka celého 20. století. Posluchači mají možnost slyšet nejen chansony slavné Edith Piaf, ale i písně Djanga Reinhardta, Serge Gainsbourga, Lucienne Delyle, Desirless a dalších. Stále pokračuje i její účinkování v muzikálech Divadla Broadway.
Už několik let se věnuje také pedagogické činnosti a vocal coachingu. Od roku 2018 také působí jako pedagog na Mezinárodní Konzervatoři v Praze.
Slovak singer Zdenka has lived in Prague since 2002. After graduating from classical singing at the Church Conservatory in Bratislava, she continued her studies at the Jaroslav Ježek Conservatory in Prague in the musical theatre program. That very same year, she began working in a number of Prague musical theaters. A major turning point in her career was landing the lead role of Edith Piaf in “Edith Piaf – a Sparrow from the Suburbs”. She became an enthusiastic francophile and began including in her repertoire, not only French chansons by Edith Piaf, but also many other well-known French songs. In 2010 she met the accordionist Michal Mihok and together they founded the band VOILA!. Their repertoire, consisting of untraditionally conceived well-known French hits, was subsequently supplemented by their own original songs. Even before the release of their debut album, VOILA! won the Czech Penguin Award, given to young promising artists. With their debut album Décollage (2014), the young group exceeded all expectations. Their single Flip flops, which made it to the top of the charts of Radio 1 and the Slovak Radio FM, was a success with a wider audience.
Zdenka continues to devote herself to traditional French chansons in her solo concert program “La Belle Vie”; and is preparing to record an album of the same name, combining French chansons with gipsy swing. Accompanied by the always excellent musicians accordionist Michal Mihok and guitarist Tibor Žida, it will be a mélange of well-known French melodies from almost the entire 20th century. Listeners will have the opportunity to hear not only the chansons of the famous Edith Piaf, but also songs by Django Reinhardt, Serge Gainsbourg, Lucienne Delyle, Desirless and others. Zdenka also continues to perform in musicals at the Broadway Theater, in Prague.
Zdenka has also been involved in teaching and vocal coaching for several years. Since 2018, she has taught at the International Conservatory in Prague.
